Following a strong year of sales in 2017 Sumitomo Chemical Australia has expanded its marketing team with the aim of capitalising on their momentum. Patrick Kennedy has been welcomed into the team as a Sales and Marketing Analyst. Patrick is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame Australia where his outstanding achievements were recognised with his inclusion on the Dean’s list.

While Patrick’s job title is fairly comprehensive, the nuts and bolts of his role includes monitoring and reporting on sales, analysing marketing trends, and co-ordinating social media content.

Brett Ryan, Marketing Manager for Crop Protection at Sumitomo Chemical Australia, said that Patrick’s role will be crucial to development and growth. “The feedback from our 2017 review was certainly positive. We’ve had a couple of great product launches over the last few years and we definitely want to keep that momentum going. Alongside continuing to bring innovative new products to the Australian market we are looking to enhance our relationships with our agencies and other retail partners. Our agency website launch has already improved our ability to communicate information and in 2018 Patrick will be helping us to continue to roll out timely, relevant and useful content to our partners. Patrick’s sales analysis skills will also be put to work to help us to improve our marketing efficiency.
